We asked Byron how he works with his clients to ensure #FutureFitGovernance?
This was Byron's response...
Corporate governance functions are seeing more regulatory and external stakeholder burden falling on their shoulders and the historic approach to service delivery is not sustainable given cost and resourcing pressures.
I believe there is space for a new dynamic within corporate governance, where process standardisation and commoditisation is possible, where existing (or new) core systems can be better leveraged to achieve efficiencies, and where forward-thinking secretariat functions can play a greater role in orchestrating the end-to-end meeting process to benefit downstream producers and upstream consumers of board packs.
